Mangrovia amongst selected Blockchain Specialist Consultancies in Gartner annual report
The systems integrator and software house is the only Italian company listed in the Blockchain Specialist Consultancies category
Milan, 18th September 2019 – Italian software house Mangrovia Blockchain Solutions can now count itself amongst the globally recognised technology experts on blockchain, according to Gartner’s latest Market Guide for Blockchain and Consulting and Proof-of-Concept development services. An annual document released by the research firm, the report seeks to guide sourcing, procurement and vendor management leaders in identifying and selecting suitable partners for their blockchain projects.
Headquartered in Milan with local entrepreneur Angelomario Moratti as its principal investor, Mangrovia is classified as a Blockchain Specialist Consultancy, among the likes of other international companies such as ConsenSys, the American firm renowned for their development on Ethereum.
The category “Blockchain Specialist Consultancies” lists 9 software providers worldwide, 5 of which have their headquarters in Europe. Other categories include “Business Consulting Firms” and “Technology Service Providers”, defined by their main portfolio of services (such as strategy and consulting) and technology offering (such as IT firms who have traditionally provided other services). All three categories combined, the number of blockchain software providers listed in the report tally to a selection of 30 companies.
“With the market for blockchain consultancy growing rapidly, there is high demand for technical staff with demonstrable blockchain skills,” explains the report, remarking on the market’s necessity for specialist consultancies who “offer deep technical development capability and experience of blockchain, and often having delivered proportionately more solutions to production than other groups of provider.” The report was published together with a toolkit that mentions other blockchain providers, detailing the total known to Gartner to be 117 blockchain software providers worldwide.
Despite noting that the low barriers to entry result in entrants of all sorts to the market, the report affirms that “as the technology matures and the market value from blockchain grows rapidly from 2025 onward, consultancies will be in increasing demand for their specialist knowledge.”
